Azure Landing Zone

Azure Landing Zone is actually the output or visualization of the Azure multi-data and multi-calculations environment. It considers the design of scale capabilities, security management, networks and identities. Azure Landing Zone enables enterprise-scale applications transfer, modernization, and innovation in the Azure environment. These areas address all the platform resources needed to fully support the customer's applications portfolio. They do not differentiate between infrastructure as a service (IaaS) or platform as a service (PaaS).

Landing zone design is one of the most significant and important services we offer to our customers who move through or establish Azure environments, as part of a wide range of cloud services.

What is Azure Landing Zone?

As part of this specialization and service, we actually offer the client an in-depth process in which our design experts map the existing situation, study the organization's goals, and accordingly plan the transition or establishment process in Azure that is most appropriate and detailed for the organization.

This design ensures the success of the process while addressing existing and future core issues, in a way that will allow the organization to operate, grow, and develop in an optimal manner.

The landing zone process comprises several stages:

1. Planning the target environment

The cloud adoption process provides organizations with a reliable methodology to build and implement the business strategies and technologies the organization needs to succeed in the cloud.

We offer a variety of landing zone solutions, depending on the characteristics of the customer environment and needs.

The design of the environment characteristics comprises several components and services, including the network structure, user permissions, logical arrangement of resources, selecting resource names and tagging.

As part of the activity, Ness offers its customers to plan together all the relevant issues, as detailed in the chart:

2. Selecting the landing zone

Once the organization has determined the characteristics of the target environment, the next step is to select and implement the appropriate landing zones.

Landing zones are the environmental output that refers to scale, governance (compliance with standards), security, networks and identity. A landing zone enables application transfer, modernization and innovation on an enterprise scale. These areas consider all the platform resources needed to support the customer environment, and do not differentiate between infrastructure as a service (IaaS) or platform as a service (PaaS).

The schema below generally shows the structure of a landing zone:

3. Landing zone architectures

Ness offers several landing zones that are suitable for use by the organization.

The four architectures below represent high level landing zones that can be changed before implementation, according to customer requirements. In each architecture there is a description of the services that will be created: LZ1, LZ2, LZ3, LZ4.
